10/28 This week has been pretty crazy so far in every class due to the grades closing this week so i have been pretty backed up because of that. On Wednesday, I got to observe Eddy work on the new help desk computer. That was really cool because I have seen my step brother and my step father work on some before but I never really paid any attention or got to learn anything from them; which i regret. However, while watching Eddy I actually tried to learn something for future reference. It was also nice because he really knows what he is doing so he was a good teacher.
10/21 Last week was a really fun week. Mainly because we got to look at the raspberry pi and play with the BristleBot. I liked the BristleBot because it was fun to play around and see what different things I could do with it. One of the things I was able to do with it was adding another battery to it to make it more powerful which caused it to buzz faster. When using the raspberry pi it was interesting to see that it’s OS was very similar to Linux.
10/14 Hacking can either be a non-harmful activity or a very harmful crime. This specific case of email hacking is the harmful option. This is important in technology because hacking is a part of technology. To society, hacking is a big deal because it could be identity theft, credit card theft, or to steal personal information. To me this would be something important because my social media could get hacked and people could mess with it or take it over. To help prevent hacking people just need to be much more careful with their credit card information or anytype of personal information.
9/23 Now that the week is over, I'm feeling good about what I've accomplished so far. My voice has been recorded for my first video tutorial and now all that's left to do is to add my screenshots. Screenflow, so far, has been a great app to use and isn't very complicated. I like the amount of things you're able to do in the app. For next week I'm hoping to be completed with my tutorial and I'm hoping that I will be in the same position I am now(ahead of schedule).
9/16 So far, I am really liking the helpdesk class. I really enjoy being able to help students and teachers because it gives me a good feeling knowing that I've helped make their life less complicated/easier. Even just being in the class for 2 weeks so far I've learned a lot; whether it was from you, Mr. Wong, or articles, and even learning from other students’ problems. I am also looking forward to learning more about technology because it will definitely help me out further down the road in my everyday life. Getting to use the 3D printer will also be a really cool assignment. In conclusion, I'm really excited about help desk and think it will be a fun, educational experience.
